While their other properties were under our care, our client purchased a beautiful mansion in West London with an existing smart home system. This had been installed by another integrator who was no longer in business and our client wanted us to take it over and customise it to their exact needs. We were tasked with bringing the Savant system up to date and fixing various issues that came with the property at the time our client acquired it.
The first stage of this project was to assess everything that was already installed, filtering through what worked and what didn’t. We studied the existing documentation and then discussed with our client how they wanted the property to perform.
This home already housed a Savant home automation system, but it needed upgrading. Lutron lighting was also already in place, albeit pre-programmed to the previous owners’ preferences, so we worked with the client to re-do the programming to suit their needs. There were a few faulty motorised curtains and blinds that we had to replace to ensure everything was working as it should.
The house had a very out of date CCTV system, so we upgraded all external cameras to re-secure the property as it was not safe prior to this.
In this area of London at the time, no-one could access a good internet connection. Therefore, we installed a dedicated fibre line for the client into this property. All these upgrades and installs resulted in a stunning smart home that was designed down to minute detail to the clients vision.
While continuing to manage the property today, unfortunately, 2.5 years into our management of this home, there was a major water leak in the property that poured through the entire space and equipment was badly damaged. However, we worked closely with the client and their team to bring the house as quickly as possible back to normal functioning which involved working with insurers. While maintaining our clients properties, we will ensure any unexpected issues faced, large or small, are dealt with as quickly as possible to restore homes to working order.
